Ukrainian Freedom Stage

Ukrainian Freedom Stage, The Hague, June 18th: Embrace Ukraine

The second event of the Ukrainian Freedom Stage will take place in The Hague on June 18th. This is a peace rally and a charity concert; an opportunity for the Ukrainian and Dutch communities to come together through music.

Ukrainian people have proven time and time again that they are ready to stand up for freedom and democracy, and that they see European integration as the path forward for their country. Ukraine was and is a European state, and now we are paying the highest price to become a part of the EU officially.

We want to bring together top Ukrainian musical talent to tell the stories of Ukrainian bravery, fight for freedom and European choice through music. The best jazz, pop, hip-hop and rock artists on one stage, with one message: Ukraine chooses to be a part of Europe, and we want Europe to embrace Ukraine. We are also working on inviting Dutch performers as a thank you for the generosity of the local community that is making Ukrainians in the Netherlands feel at home.

One of the speakers at the event is Emine Dzheppar, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. You will see performances by Vopli Vidoplyasova, Arsen Mirzoyan, Khrystyna Soloviy, Gapochka, FoSho, Love’N’Joy, Olga Lukachova and Anna Hodorovskaya. The event is made possible by the Ukrainians in the Netherlands Foundation, The Embassy of Ukraine in the Netherlands, Agnum and JBL.
